MRS. CHARLES PETERSON DIES

Stricken with a sudden and fatal attack of influenza, Mrs. Charles Peterson died at her home in Nodaway township ten miles southeast of Essex late Saturday. Few of her friends knew of her illness until the word of her death was brought to them for she had been to town less than two short weeks ago was apparently in good health at which time but the fatal plague which is sweeping the world caught her and took her life away.

Mrs. Eda(sic) Mathilda Peterson was born in Sweden, in Sept. 13, 1852 and had passed her sixty seventh birthday last fall. Mr. and Mrs. Peterson came to Page county forty three years ago first settling in Clarinda where they lived for a number of years before moving to the present home in Nodaway township. One son survives with the sorrowing husband.

Short funeral services were held at the home at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in charge of Rev. A.K. Forsman of the Fremont church. Following the services the remains were removed to Nyman where they were to rest in the cemetery at that place.

NOTE: Gravestone records indicate Eda Mathilda Peterson is Ida M. (Lindstedt) Peterson
