Lisettie Graves, daughter of Hans and Minnie Graves was born near Melvin, Iowa on December 13, 1881.

She lived her youth and attended school in the Melvin vicinity. She was united in marriage to William Imhoff of Melvin on May 24, 1903. After their marriage they lived in Melvin. They later moved to a farm near Ocheyedan where they lived for seven years and later in the town of Ocheyedan for three years. They then returned to Melvin where she lived until the time of her death at the Prairie View Retirement Home of Sanborn on Sunday, April 21, 1968 at the age of 86 years, four months and eight days.

Funeral services were held in the American Lutheran Church of Melvin Wednesday, April 24, 1968 at 2:00 P.M. The family prayer service was at 11:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. H.H. Adix officiating. A mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Harold Schmidt, Mrs. Bob Damman, Mrs. Bruce Knock and Mr. Ronald Schultz sang "Rock of Ages." The congregation sang "O God Our Help in Ages Past" accompanied by Merrie Kay Anderson at the organ.

She is survived by one daughter, Lulu of Melvin, Iowa; two brothers, Louie and William Graves of Melvin and one sister, Carleen, Mrs. Herman Hitchcock of Melvin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.

Casket bearers were: Kenneth Graves, Gerald Graves, George Imhoff, George Imhoff, Vincent Imhoff and Frank Leinen. Mrs. Edwin Wiechert and Mrs. William Knock were in charge of flowers.

Interment was at Baker Township Cemetery of Melvin, with Sanborn Funeral Home of Sanborn, Vic Vogelaar Director, in charge of services.

Out of town friends and relatives attending the funeral of Mrs. Liesetti Imhoff werd from Centerville, Lansing, Rock Rapids, Iowa and Sherburn, Round Lake, Garvin, Jasper, Curry and Laverne, Miin., as well as nearby towns.
