MRS. VICTORIA KUIPER
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 29 at St. Andrew's catholic Church in Sibley, for Mrs. Victoria Kuiper, 92, who died Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Osceola Community Hospital. Fr. Leo J. Berger celebrated the funeral Mass. Burial was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery at Sheldon, with the Walton Funeral Home In charge of arrangements.
Victoria Centek was born Nov. 1, 1879 at Phlllps Co., Kansas, the daughter of Paul and Victoria Kerstine Centek. She was married on Nov. 22, 1897 at Logan, Kansas to Dick Kuiper. In 1919 they moved to the Sheldon area and later on to the Sibley area.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Church and was a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
Survivors include nine sons and daughters, John of Sheldon; Ernest of Long Prairie, Minn.: Mrs. John (Mary) Hammer of LeMars; Mrs. AI (Clara) Marco, Ocheydan; Dan, Ashton: Mrs. Ed (Grace) Treiner, Stanford, Montana; Mrs. Anna Howard of Cherokee; Mrs. Robert (Glendora) Kilker, Middle, la. and Ted formerly of Sibley; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren and one-great-great grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother and four sisters.
