SIBLEY, Iowa — Jennie Frick, 90, of Sibley died unexpectedly Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at her residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church in Sibley, with the Rev. Douglas Darnold officiating. Burial will be in Holman Township Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walton, Roste and Vogel Funeral Home in Sibley.

Mrs. Frick was born June 22, 1909, in Sibley, the daughter of John L. and Flora (Fry) Rose. She was raised in Sibley and graduated from Sibley High School in 1927.

She married William Flick on June 2, 1936, in Ashton, Iowa. The couple made their home in Sibley.

She began working at Osceola County courthouse as deputy auditor in 1943. In 1948, she was appointed as Osceola county assessor, retiring in 1974.

Mr. Flick died July 14, 1980.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served on the flower committee, American Legion Auxiliary and Osceola Community Hospital Auxiliary. She served as secretary and treasurer of Northwest Iowa Assessors Group, as secretary of the Iowa Association of County Assessors and on the city of Sibley zoning board.

She enjoyed gardening and collecting Hummel and ANRI figurines and plates.

Survivors include a sister, Martha Salmon of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Esther Rose and Frances Rose, both of Sibley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lena Wubbena; and two brothers, Leonard and John Rose.
