I was looking through your site for an ancestor of mine, who was rumored (through the family story) to have been a boy of 8 - 12 years old whom arrived in America as a Stowaway on a boat. I have tracked the families names to this site and have a query on information you have posted. I am very interested in obtaining more information on an indentured person named Charles Milton: Your list says his father is samuel Milton, and his Iowa guardians are Charles F Behrens and Emma L Behrens. it was filed april 22 1890 in Des moine Iowa. How does someone get more information on the agreement between these two parties. I live in Canada and have managed to trace the family all iowa, however I cannot locate my members. Several researchers have been graciously helping me try to locate a " Missing branch to the Behrends/ Behrens families from Iowa, But to no avail. I am hopeful this information will correlate to an adoption in Good hope church/ cemetary in Woodbury county Iowa. I just not sure where to obtain this information or whether you have it onsite somewhere. Thanks for you time
Laverne
