Mrs. Fred Mast

Annie Dorothy Lamp Mast, daughter of Henry and Margaret Lamp, was born April 20, 1875, near Durant, Iowa. As an infant she was baptized in the Lutheran Faith.

In her youth she spent about three years working in a private home in Sioux City.

On September 30, 1902, she was married to Fred C. Mast at her home in Tipton, Iowa. They made their home on the Mast farm southwest of Hartley for 41 years. In 1943, they moved to their home in the town of Hartley where she lived until she became ill. She died on July 24, 1954 at the Lutheran hospital at Sioux City at the age of 79 years, 3 months, and 4 days.

Mr. and Mrs. Mast were privileged to celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on September 30, 1952.

Besides her husband, Fred C. Mast, her death is mourned by the following brothers and sisters: Henry of near Letts, Iowa; Charles, Ed, and Fred of Tipton, Iowa; Julius of West Branch, Joseph, also of Letts; Rosa Weih, Emma Lafrenz and Katheryn Achey, all of Tipton, and many other relatives and friends. One sister, Mrs. Clara Untiedt, preceded her in death very recently this spring.

Flowers and home were her main interests. She was very industrious and was always helpful to those in need.

Funeral services were held at :30 Tuesday, July 27, at the Foley Funeral Home and at 2:00 at the Methodist church in charge of the pastor, the Reverend Raymond A. Roloff. Interment was made in Pleasant View Cemetery at Hartley.
