Funeral services in memory of Clarice Dorothy Hoper were conducted Monday, August 6, 2001, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley, Iowa. Rev. Milo Sheldon officiated. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley. Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Clarice taught school in Plover, Iowa, for a short time and then lived in Hartley the rest of her life. While living in Hartley, she was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for many years, the Dorcas Society, P.E.O., a past member of Emanon Club, the Hospital Auxiliary, enjoyed playing the piano and was involved in other activities in the community. She also enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and needlework in her spare time.

On Wednesday,August 1, 2001, Clarice passed away at the Senior Wellness Center in Hartley, Iowa, at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother.

Clarice is survived by her sister and husband, Marian and Prof. E.W. McMullen of Madison, New Jersey; one brother and his wife, Robert and Vera Hoper of West Okoboji, Iowa; her nieces and nephews; as well as other relatives and friends.
