Services Held Wednesday for E. Puhrmann

Funeral services for Ernest F. Puhrmann, 68, of Paullina were held Wednesday afternoon, April 9 at the First Presbyterian church. Mr. Puhrmann passed away on Monday, April 7 at the Baum Harmon hospital. He had been in ill health for some time.

Ernest F. Puhrmann was born April 16, 1906 in Baker Township, O'Brien County, Iowa, the son of Louis and Doris Brinckmann Puhrmann. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. John Lutheran church at Germantown.

On November 29, 1933 he married Helen Stofferan. They farmed for 36 years before moving to Paullina several years ago.

Survivors include his wife Helen, 3 sons, Ronald of Storm Lake, Harlyn of Lake Crystal, Minnesota, and Bradley of Paullina and one daughter Elaine of Paullina, 6 grandchildren, his mother Mrs. Doris Puhrmann, one brother, Marvin of Sheldon and two sisters, (Florence), Mrs. Ed Koehlmoos, and (Verna), Mrs. Hans Joens of Hartley.

Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery with Gaudian Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
