Funeral Services Held Here for Abel Thompson

Funeral services were held here June 29 for Abel Thompson, who was born here at Paullina and lived much of his life here. Death came to him June 26 at Prairie View Nursing Home at Sanborn. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. J Paul Boaz officiating. Organ music was by Mrs. Roy Ewoldt. Interment was in Prairie View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Martin Axdahl, Curtiss Berntson, John Hinz, Norman Laue, Eldon Miller and Lyle Wallin.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C. B. Larson of Brewster, Minn., four brothers, John and Isaac of Paullina and Carney and Sidwell, Primghar; three sisters, Mrs. Bertina Strand and Mrs. Mavis Jacobs of Paullina and Mrs. Alma Strand of Primghar.

The deceased was a son of Christian and Serena Benson Thompson. He was married to Mavis Larson Thompson. A son, William, preceded him in death.
