Ida Anna Hoger, 88, of Hartley, died July 27, 2000 at the Hartley Community Health Center. Graveside services were held Monday, July 31, 2000 at Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina. The Rev. Clark Eckhoff officiated. The Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ida Anna Hoger, the daughter of Henry and Sophia Ebel Pauling, was born June 4, 1912 in Germantown She received her education at the Lutheran Parochial School in Germantown.

On September 22, 1935, Ida married Edwin Hoger in Germantown and following their marriage, they farmed eight miles south of Hartley While living there, she was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church of Sutherland.

Mrs. Hoger was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1971, two sisters and seven brothers.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter and her husband, Carole and Larry McLean, of Smithfield, North Carolina; one granddaughter, Shan McLean, also of Smithfield, North Carolina; as well as other relatives and friends.
