OBITUARY

Mr. Ludwig Beerman [Beermann throughout] was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beerman. He was born May 3, 1864, near Mattison, Cook County, Illinois. His parents being members of the Lutheran church, he was baptized in early Infancy. After he had been instructed in the fundamental doctrines of the Christian religion, he was confirmed and vowed faithfulness unto his Lord and Savior unto death. When in 1882 his parents moved to Iowa, he came with them and had ever since been a resident of this locality.

June 3, 1888 he was united in marriage with Miss Louisa Pauling with whom he lived happily until death separated them. This union was blessed with two sons and six daughters. One daughter died in early infancy. On account of impaired health Mr. Beerman quit farming in 1910 and moved to Germantown where he continued to live until last winter.

The last year he and his wife made their home with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Rohlfsen.

Last Thursday [02/26/1931] morning Mr. Beerman departed this life at the age of 66 years, 9 months and 28 days.

The funeral services Sunday afternoon were in charge of the pastor of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Germantown.

Mr. Beerman is survived by two sons, five daughters, sixteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, one brother and one sister.
