Services Held Tuesday for Cloyd Cullison

Funeral services for Cloyd E. Cullison were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina. Mr. Cullison passed away Sunday morning, October 7 at the Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar after a sudden illness. He reached 84 years, 7 months and 23 days of age.

Rev. A. E. Goldhorn officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Marvin Petersen, Norman Laue, Leonard Wallin, Julius Hoger, Richard Halstrom, and Warren Ver Ploeg. Otis Grosvenor sang two hymns "In the Garden" and " I Know Who Holds Tomorrow". Mrs. Grosvenor was organist.

Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery near Paullina with military rites by the Russell West Post No. 95.

Mr. Cullison was born Feb. 12, 1895, in Deep River [Poweshiek County, Iowa]. He married Marlys Brown on April 17, 1931, in Paullina. She died in 1956.

Mr. Cullison was educated in the Deep River schools. In World War I he served in the Army with F Company of the 33rd Engineers Battalion, 352nd Infantry Division. He and his wife farmed in the Deep River area until 1947 and later farmed in the Paullina area until 1960.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dean (Elizabeth) Einerwold of Sutherland and Linda of Marcus; two sons, Jerry and Ronald, both of Paullina; seven grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Phil (Izola) Lamb of Malcolm.
