Services for Albert E. Hoger were held Friday, April 24, 1987, at the Bethel Lutheran Church at Sutherland, Iowa, with the Rev. Leroy Riemer officiating.

The final resting place is [West] Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, Iowa, under the direction of the Gaudian Eldridge Funeral Home.

Albert E. Hoger, the son of Herman and Dora Siemsgulsz Hoger, was born August 27, 1922, at Germantown, O'Brien County, Iowa. He attended schools at Germantown. Albert was baptized and confirmed at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, and was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland.

On January 1, 1938, he was united in marriage to Florence Klein in Sutherland, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple started farming at Langdon, Iowa. They later moved to a farm near Hartley where they farmed until 1966 when Albert retired. In 1969 the couple moved to Paullina until Albert entered the Marian Health Center in SIoux City and passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 1987, reaching the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

Albert is survived by his wife, Florence, of Paullina; one step-brother, Arthur Daniels of Sheldon; a step sister, Mrs. Elnora Hinz of Paullina; also nieces and nephews and a hosto of other relatives and friends.
