Word has been received here that the remains of Mrs. Dressen [sic], of Luverne, Minnesota, would be brought to Sanborn on Friday of this week for interment in Roseland cemetery, in the family lot where her husband is buried. Mrs. Dressen [sic] was formerly a resident of this place, her husband having been a merchant here, operating a store in the building now occupied by C.G. Schubert, and will be remembered by many of the older citizens.

Mrs. John Dreessen died a few days ago in northern Iowa, at the home of one of her children, a victim of cancer, and was buried at Sanborn. She lived in this community twenty -five or thirty years ago, being a daughter of Dex Rhode [sic Lex Rohde], who lived on the Henry Witt farm, south of Traer. Her husband died many years ago. Several children survive. She was an aunt of John and Herman Harder, of Traer.
