Services in memory of Lorna W. Polson were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16,1994 at Warner-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Hartley. Rev. Melvin Ammon officiated.

Casket bearers were Donald Mead, Norman Sindt, Wendell Shouse, Dean Skinner, Chuck Stoneking and Steve Shouse. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley. Warner-Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lorna W. Polson, the daughter of Fred and Mathilda Voss, was born November 29, 1912, in Germantown, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in that community, and it was in the German Lutheran School that she received her early education.

On December 11, 1932, Lorna married Otto Polson, Sr. in Sioux City, Iowa. They farmed near Moneta for many years before moving into Hartley. She was a past member of the German Lutheran Church in Germantown.

Mrs. Polson had been a resident of the Primghar Care Center in Primghar, and it was there she passed away on April 13, 1994 at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on August 23, 1980; and one son, Douglas on December 29, 1991.

Lorna is survived by one son and his wife, Otto and Irene of Hartley; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. LaVon Heinz of California, other relatives and friends.
