Tim Jones, age 62, of Sheldon, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center in Sheldon. Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Andringa Funeral Home Sheldon Funeral Service in Sheldon. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in Sheldon.

Timothy Lee Jones was born on May 21, 1956 in Sheldon, Iowa. He was the son of Wayne and Leah (Helms) Jones. He lived his youth in Sheldon where he attended school and enjoyed playing baseball and basketball. He graduated from Sheldon Community High School. Tim attended Iowa Lakes Community College for two years, receiving a degree in Horticulture.

Tim worked for TJ’s in Sheldon after college and then purchased the Fin and Feather Bar and Restaurant in Sheldon which he owned and operated for many years. He was a special driver for Van Wyk’s Trucking and drove for Rides and the Sheldon Community Schools.

Tim was an avid golfer, played on the golf league and was a member of the Sheldon Country Club. He enjoyed collecting cars and was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle enthusiast. Tim was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Atlantic Braves. His pets were very dear to him and he took special care of them.

Tim passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Sanford Sheldon Medical Center.

Those left to cherish his memory are two brothers and sister-in-law, Dr. Allen S. and Norma Jones and Curtis W. Jones; two nieces, [redacted] and their children, [redacted] ; and one uncle, Dale Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Leah Jones.
