Funeral services in memory of Donna B. Sorensen were conducted July 12, 1993 at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley. Pastor John Schauer officiated. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Hartley. Warner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Donna B. Sorensen, daughter of Frank and Isabel Muilenburg Brummer, was born January 21, 1932 in Melvin, Iowa. Her childhood years were spent in that community and it was there that she received her early education.

Donna married Gene Sorensen in Nashua, Iowa on September 1, 1949. Following their marriage the moved to Hartley, Iowa where they have always lived.

Donna was a member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church and also the Meadowbrook Golf and County Club where she is a former Ladies Club Champion. Donna enjoyed her family very much and had played in many golf tournaments with her daughters. She also enjoyed collection porcelain dolls and making the clothes for them.

Mrs. Sorensen passed away at the Spencer Municipal Hospital on July 9, 1993 at the age of 61. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna is survived by her husband, Gene of Hartley, Iowa; one son, Steven and his wife, Jeanenne of Wichita, Kansas; two daughters, Deb Sorensen of Cherokee, and Patti Engle and her husband Steve of Kingsley, Iowa; four grandchildren: Bryan and Shandra Sorensen, and Jeff and Katie Engle; one brother, Gary Brummer of Waco, Texas; four nephews, one niece; in-laws, other relatives and many friends.
