Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 17, at the United Methodist Church in Canto, South Dakota, for Carol Joyce Mohr, 47. Mrs. Mohr died January 14 at the Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. Officiating at the services was the Rev. Rodney Gist. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Carol Joyce Koele Mohr was born August 10, 1931, at Everly, Iowa to Elizabeth Van Zee Koele and Jacob Koele.

She married Richard Mohr on May 5, 1953, at Nashua, Iowa. They made their home in Austin, Minnesota, and Avoca, Iowa, before moving to Canton in 1968. She had been employed at Haisch Pharmacy.

Joyce was a member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Woman, and she was a 4H leader for many years.

Mrs. Mohr is survived by her husband, Richard, two daughters, Mrs. Ken (Bonnie) Wilson of Rock Rapids, and Mrs. Dan (Darcy) Olstad of Grand Rapids, Michiga; four grandchildren; her mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hulst of Sheldon; and two sisters, Mrs. Gary (Mary) Clay of Fort Collins, Colorado and Mrs. Ron (Iva) Fylstra of Lexington, Kentucky.
