Funeral services were held Saturday, January 31, 1981 at 1:30 p.m. at Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home, Primghar, for Arthur Lago, 96, of Primghar. rev. Donald Sinclair officiated.

Pallbearers were Bill Wagner, Ronald Clark, Roger Kammerer, John Weathers, Oscar Fjeld and Donald Sickelka. Hymns "In the Garden" and "Old Rugged Cross" were sung by Harrison Fisch, accompanied by Donna Struve. Interment was at Doyle Cemetery near Gaza.

Arthur Lago, the son of Paul and Elizabeth Butterfield Lago, was born November 19, 1884, in Highland Township near Gaza. He attended rural schools near Gaze. He assisted his family in farming the family farm and later farmed it himself for many years, retiring in 1972 and moving into Primghar. He remained in Primghar until his passing on January 28, 1981, at the Baum Harmon Hospital, reaching the age of 96 years, 3 months and 9 days.

Art is survived by one sister, Mis Lena Lago of Primghar, and a brother, Leon Lago of Lake Park, also many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.

Art was a charter member of the Gaza Community Church.
