Funeral services held for Mabel Anderson

Funeral services were held Friday, December 7, 1990, 10:30 a.m., at Siloam Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa, for Mabel O. Anderson. Rev. R.S. Roesler officiated. Interment was at [West] Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, with arrangements by the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Mabel O. Anderson, daughter of Daniel and Mary Alice Reynolds Cockle, was born July 13, 1895, near Cleghorn, Iowa. She received her education in Cherokee County rural schools near Cleghorn.

On November 21, 1918 [alternate 1917], she was united in marriage to Chris Anderson at the Christian Church in Cherokee, IA. After their marriage, the couple farmed outside of Paullina for twenty-five years before moving to a farm outside of Primghar in 1943. The couple then moved into Primghar in 1953.

Chris preceded her in death on September 13. 1964. in Primghar. Mabel remained in Primghar until moving to live with her daughter in Storm Lake, IA. She remained there until they moved back to Primghar in November of 1989.

Mabel passed away at the Marian Health Center in Sioux City, IA, on Tuesday, December 4, 1990, reaching the age of 95 years, four months and 21 days.

She was baptized at the Christian Church in Cleghorn and was currently a member of the Siloam Lutheran Church in Paullina.

Mabel leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Mrs. Donna Klinker of Primghar; two grandsons, Gary and William Klinker; three great grandchildren: Andy, Gretchen and Thor Klinker; one sister, Mrs. Mildred Richmond of Paullina; also many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; infant son, Vivian Daniel; son-in-law, William Klinker; parents; and two sisters, Mrs. Inez Thomson and Mrs. Grace Strampe.
