Heart Attack Takes Life of Mrs. Hibbing

Mrs. Henry Hibbing, 66, Paullina, died very suddenly Wednesday morning at the Hibbing home here. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She died about 9:30 a.m. Mrs. Hibbing had been in apparently good health and had completed baking pies in preparation for the entertaining of her card club in the afternoon.

Mrs. Hibbing is survived by her husband, Henry, a son, Kermit Schulz of Sanborn and a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Scot

Mrs. Henry Hibbing Buried Here Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Hibbing, who died suddenly last Wednesday forenoon, were held at the Gaudian Funeral Home and Zion Lutheran Church Friday, August 21 with the Rev. Paul Sohn in charge of the service. Pallbearers were Art Fintel, Alfred Mortens, Ed Lange, Herman Ploen, Henry Behrens and Ray Hattermann. Burial was in Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of the Gaudian Funeral Home.

Rosa Sophia Hibbing was born October 30, 1894 at Charter Oak, where she was also baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

On November 25, 1911 she was married to Herman Schultz and to them were born six children. Mr. Schultz died in 1946 after being bedfast for many years.

Mrs. Hibbing was a very active member in the affairs of the church, always a willing worker and ready to help others.

In 1951 she was married to Henry Hibbing. The deceased had a serious operation several months ago but seemingly had made a complete recovery. On Wednesday, August 19, she was stricken with a fatal heart attack while doing her usual household tasks.

Survivors are her husband, Henry, one son, Kermit Schultz, Sanborn, one daughter, Mary Ellen (Mrs. Delbert Scott) of Carroll; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Erna Schultz of Brownsdale, Minnesota; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Timm, Charter Oak, Mrs. Herman Garbe, Sioux City and Mrs. Emma Rabe, Aurelia, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four children, one son, Delbert having drowned at the Peterson dam in 1938, two brothers, Fred and William Peters and two sisters, Mrs. Martha Krull and Mrs. Marie Pitham.
