1891 - Emma Riedemann - 1963

Emma Riedemann, daughter of Henry Roth and Katherine nee Werner was born on January 18, 1891 on a farm near Avon, South Dakota. She attended the Avon school. As a young girl she came to this area about 1913.

In December of 1915 she was married to August Riedemann. To them were born six children. Mr. and Mrs. Riedemann had lived at various places in the past 48 years. They lived in the Paullina and Marcus area most of their married life. About three years ago they moved to Grand Meadow, Minnesota. On Saturday, August 3, Mrs. Riedemann suddenly passed away at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 15 days.

She is survived by her husband, August, five children, Bernice, Mrs. Kenneth Siems of Bismarck, North Dakota; Irene, Mrs. Robert MaComb of Le Mars; Mildred, Mrs. Herman Steenhoeven [Steenhoven] of Flandreau, South Dakota; Burnell of Cherokee and Donald of Grand Meadow, Minnesota. One son, two grandsons, her parents and four brothers preceded her in death. Interment was in the Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina.
