Mrs. Edward Riedemann

Mrs. Edward Riedemann, born Louise Karolina Zinn, was the daughter of Julius and Ida Hoffman Zinn. She was born May 12, 1896, in Grant Township of O'Brien Co., Iowa, and passed into eternal life on June 1, 1966 at the age of 70 years and 19 days.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hartley. She was also a member of the Ladies' Aid.

She attended the rural schools near her childhood home.

On Jan. 20, 1916, she was united in marriage to Edward Riedemann. They were privileged to observe their Golden Wedding Anniversary this past January. To them were born two sons: Irvin and Kenneth, and a daughter who died in infancy.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth Riedemann.

Survivors include her husband, Edward, her two sons, Irvin and Kenneth of Hartley, 6 grandchildren, two brothers: Paul Zinn and Albert Zinn, both of Hartley, three sisters: Mrs. Sadie Meiske of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Selma Hein of Hartley, and Mrs. Elsie Steuck of Primghar, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held from St. Paul's Lutheran church, Friday, June 3, Rev. A. O. Bleeke officiating.

Pallbearers were, Orlin Hein, Clarence Hein, John Meiske, Jr., Kenneth Zinn, Elmer Steuck, and Jay Meiske.

Interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery with the Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
