Services Held for Tillie Wrede

Services for Tillie Wrede were held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 17, 1985, at Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa, with, the Rev. Donald Johnson officiating.

Tillie Wrede, the daughter of Chris and Caroline Egdorf Wrede, was born November 29, 1887, in Caledonia Township, O'Brien County, Iowa. She attended schools at St. John Lutheran School in Germantown, after which for many years she lived in the Paullina area where she worked as a seamstress. In December of 1976, she made her home at the Wide View Nursing Home in Paullina. Tillie passed away on Saturday, September 14, 1985, at the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, reaching the age of 97 years, 9 months and 15 days.

She was baptized on February 2, 1888 and later confirmed in April of 1901 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. Tillie was currently a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina and was an honorary member of the Dorcas Society of the church.

Tillie leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. Mabel Dornbusch of Paullina; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters.
