Funeral services for Clara M. Pauling Klein were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 15, 1991, at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Stephen Kamprath officiating. The pallbearers were Lou Massmann, Jim Fritz, Tom Lange, Craig Kruger, Jay Fritz and Bernie Paulsen. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, IA, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Clara Margaret Pauling Klein, the daughter of Louis and Dorothea Klausen Fegebank, was born April 12, 1899, in Germany. She received her education and was employed in the hospital in Braumhofen, Germany, before coming to the United States with her parents at the age of 21.[16 Oct 1920]

In 1925, she was united in marriage to Arthur Pauling in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple made their home in Paullina. He preceded her in death in 1950 in Paullina.

In 1952, she moved to Bremerton, Washington, where in 1955, she was united in marriage to Fred Klein. He preceded her in death in 1965.

She remained in Bremerton until 1985, when she moved to Tacoma, Washington, to be near her daughter. She passed away on Friday, March 8, 1991, at the Heritage Nursing Home reaching the age of 91 years, 10 months and 26 days.

Clara leaves to cherish her memory one daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Roy Jennings of Tacoma, Washington; two grandchildren: Rick Linder and Valarie Wolf; five great grandsons: Matthew, William, Brian, Andrew and Michael; also a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; one grandson. Randy; parents; and eleven brothers and sisters.
