Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in Primghar for Arlene C. "Rusty" Brinker, 78, of Bellevue, Nebraska, and formerly of Primghar. Father Tim Hogan officiated and burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Primghar. Services were held at the Bellevue Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bellevue, Nebraska, and vistation services were held before the service at the Saint Anthony's Catholic Church under the direction of the Gaudian Eldridge Funeral Home in Primghar.

Arlene Brinker, the daughter of Frank and Nina Petitt Beckmann, was born July 7, 1939, and received her education in O'Brien County Schools.

She moved to the Omaha, Nebraska, area, where she was united in marriage to Edwin Brinker. Their married life was spent in the Omaha area. He preceded her in death in June of 1992.

Arlene remained close to her family in Omaha, and passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008, reaching the age of 78 years, 9 months and 5 days.

She is survived by a son Brian and his wife Sheri Olson of Lincoln, Nebraska, two daughters, Lavonne and her husband, Justin Trimmer of Omaha, Nebraska; and Catherie and husband Bud Pridemore of Bellevue, Nebraska; also five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; her mother, Nina Beckmann of Primghar; also other relatives. She was a friend to all.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband and her father, Frank.
