HAROLD F DAGGETT 1927-1999

Harold Frank Daggett, the son of Frank and Sarah (Bunjer)was born at Melvin, Iowa, on August 24, 1927. He lived his youth near Melvin and received his education at the Melvin Consolidate School. Harold served his county in the United States Army.

He was united in marriage to Letty Dietz on December 7, 1948, at Elk Point, South Dakota. Their married lifetime has been spent farming in the Melvin area. They have resided on their current farm since 1952. Harold died at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on April 19, 1999, at the age of 71 years, 7 months and 25 days.

Harold is survived by his wife: Letty of Melvin, his children: Bruce and Meredith Daggett of Adel, Iowa, Charlotte and Terry Pinneke of Omaha, Nebraska, Wayne and Pat Daggett of Round Lake, Minnesota, Connie Daggett of Sibley, Iowa, Ronnie and Lisa Daggett of Boyden, Iowa, Bonnie and Dan Kolbeck of Overland Park, Kansas, 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 brothes; Daryle and Gary, both of Sanborn, 4 sisters: May Gibson of Texas, Grace Anderson of Tucson, Arizona, Bertha Remmers of Sheldon, Iowa, Dorothy Pery of Del Norte, Colorado, 2 sisters-in-law: Maurine Babccock of Melvin and Marie Daggett of Lake Park, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Doug, three brothers and one sister.

He was a member of the Melvin United Methodist Church and the Northwes Iowa Harness Club. Special interests of Harold included ponies and he participated in many area parades and enjoyed giving children rides.

Funeral srvices were conducted at the Melvin United Methodsit Church at Melvin, Iowa, on Wednesday, April 21, 1999, with Rev. Jani Dahlin officiating. The Sanborn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
