Mary Edna Appeldorn Rex - In her own Words

"I was born on a farm in Paullina, Iowa, on April 26, 1926 to loving parents- Mother, Edna Mary Lahann Appeldorn and Father, George Frederick Appeldorn.

"I married Maurice L. Rex of Leon, Iowa, on May 7, 1961.

"Children - Sharla Marie Rex, David Rex died 1964, and Kirk Allen Rex.

"Deceased: Maurice L. Rex, husband; Edna Mary Appeldorn (mother), George Frederick Appeldorn (Father). Sister Gerolene Rohrs, Hansen and Henry Appeldorn (brother).

"Living relatives, (Sister) Bernice Peters of Paullina, Iowa.
Children: (Daughter) Sharla M. Kontour Rex, (Son) Kirk A. Rex (Grandchildren): Joseph Allen Reigle, Jessica M. Reigle, Angel A Rex. Kirk A. Rex, and Paul J. Rex.

"I went to a country school, Paullina High School as well as Mankato Business College, Creighton University and Front Range Community College.

"Employed with O'Brien County Treasurer's deputy, Farmers Mutual of Madison, Wisconsin, Mutual of Omaha, Nebraska, and AT&T of Westminster, Colorado.

"A Sunday school teacher for 15 years. Den Mother. Bluebird and Girl Scouts. Active in PTA and children school activities."
