Graveside services were held November 19 for Mrs. Howard Velin who died Tuesday, November 16, 1977 at her home in Missoula, Montana. Burial was in the family lot at the Hartley cemetery beside her husband who passed away a few years ago.

Mrs. Velin was the former Mary Powell. Her son, Donald Velin of Raleigh, North Carolina, and daughter, Mrs. Ray Tolley and granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Yates of Missoula, Montana, attended the services.

The Velins were former Hartley residents and operated a bakery while living in Sanborn.
