Funeral services were held Saturday for Mrs. A.C. Fintel who died suddenly at her home here Wednesday, August 16, at the age of 73. She had been in comparatively good health.

Services were at Grace Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Sherman Tidball officiating. Gaudian Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Inez Charlotte Fintel was born January 15, 1888 at Paullina, Iowa, the daughter of Reuben W. and Mary Smith Young. She attended school in Paullina, being graduated in 1906. She taught rural school for two years.

In 1909 she was married to Frank Beebe. To them was born one daughter, Beulah. In 1930 she was married to John Fredericks. Following his death she was married to A.C. Fintel.

The deceased was very active in the business and social life of this community. For several years she operated a grocery store in partnership with a brother, Francis.

She was a member of the Methodist church and of its Women's Society of christian Service, the American Legion auxiliary, and the Paullina Woman's Study club. She did a great deal of charitable work, making a special project of sending a continuous supply of materials to needy in China, where a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Lamson, was doing mission work.

The deceased is survived by her husband, A.C. Fintel, Paullina; a daughter, Mrs. Frank Lortscher (Beulah) of Whittier, California; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildre; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Lamson, Mrs. Mae Dubois and Mrs. Ethel Montgomery, all of Long Beach, California; two brothes, Charles Young of Paullina and Francis Young of Beresford, South Dakota. Her parents and four brothers preceded her in death.
