Joe McCall Dies in California

Word was received here the first of the week telling of the passing of Joe McCall at the hospital in Redlands, Claif., where he had spent several years in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Mae Gillidette. He was about 90 years old. He left Hartley about 14 years ago. His wife died in 1931 [sic] and is buried in Pleasant View Cemetery at Hartley.

The McCall family came to Hartley in November, 1988. They were the parents of two sons and two daughters: Frank, who died several years ago, and Mae Gillidette of Redlands, Calif., Alta Copenhaver at Salem, Oregon, and Morton at Eureka, Calif., who survive, beside other relatives and many friends.

Mr. and Mrs. McCall and their family are all known by the older residents of Hartley. Mr. McCall was a good neighbor and an upright citizen as well as a fiathful husband and father. He is an uncle of Mrs. Agnes Moore of Hartley.

Interment was at Redlands, Calif., Saturday, April 16.
