A Beautiful Life Closed

Mrs. Angeline Vale died the morning of October 22, 1913 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nettie V. Stewart, after an illness extending over seven months.

Mrs. Vale was born in Pennsylvania, February 12, 1836, her maiden name being Angeline Metz. Her parents moved to Independence, Defiance, Ohio, where she medt and married James C. Vale, who passed away on June 2, 1902. Ten children were born to them, the eldest, a son, dying in infancy. A daughter, Mrs. A.H. Holland in 1894, and another son, Mr. Ed. L. Vale, in 1902.

Of the seven living, Mrs. Laura Geisenhof and Mrs. Leo McDaniel, reside in Cairo, Illinois. Mrs. Lewis Fan and Mr. Howard Vale in Chicago. Mr. Chas. Vale in Rockford, Illinois, Mrs Stewart and Mrs. J.S. Messer in Hartley.

She also leaves a brother and two sisters.

Mrs. Vale was a life-long Christian, having united with the M.E. church when a young girl.

Sleep, mother, sleep. Thy toils are o'er.
Sweet be they rest, so oft needed before.
Well have we loved you, but God loved you more.
And has called you away to that bright, happy shore.

The funeral services for Mrs. Vale will be held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Stewart, Saturday at 1:30 P.M.
