Mrs. Henry (Mavis) Slinger of Primghar, a former Paullina resident, died Feb 14 at the University Hospital in Iowa City after a year-long illness. She was 45.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar with the Rev. Lowell D. Hohnensee officiating. Gaudian Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in [West] Prairie View cemetery, Paullina.

The deceased is survived by her husband; four children by a previous marriage, Richard Proehl, Illinois, James Proehl, Ankeny; Mary Proehl, Denver, and Susan, at home; and one grandson. Her father, George Holck, Paullina; a sister, Mrs. Ed Westphal, Paullina; two brothers, Orval Holck, Paullina, and Virgil Holck, Perry; and two step-sisters.
