Sam Kuiper, 77, of Sheldon died November 7 at the Sheldon hospital. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sheldon with The Rev. Calvin Teasdale officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery at Sanborn.

Mr. Kuiper was born March 24, 1899 at Middleburg and married Bernice DeWitt in April, 1925 at Sibley. He was employed by the Farmers Co-op of Sheldon. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters: Mrs. Alvin (Marjory) Eich of Lake Benton, Minn., and Mrs. Ron (Marlyn) Ehleringer of Pipestone, Minn., four sons: James of Sheldon, Marvin of Great Falls, Mont., Donald of Kodiak, Alaska and Dwane of Seattle, Wash.; one sister, Mrs.Minnie Mellema of Sibley, 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Kuiper was a former Sanborn resident.
