Died, on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1900, at 12:45 a.m., Miss Rella A Furnas, of typhoid fever.
Miss Furnas had been sick about three weeks and everything that loving hands could do to restore her to health was done, but of no avail.
The deceased was born in Benton County, this state, on February 17, 1865, being thirty-five years and eight months old at the time of her death.
She united with the Presbyterian church at Cherokee about twelve years ago and has lived a consistent Christian life. It was only to thos who knew her the most intimately that the real beauty of her character was revealed.
She was ready to go and told her friends not to mourn for her, but to be prepared to meet her in that land where all is peace and happiness.
She leaves a father and mother, one sister, Mrs. T.W. Farnsworth, and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss.
The funeral service will be held at the late home of the deceased this afternoon.
