Services in memory of Emma Fick were held Tuesday, June 30, 1987 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Hartley. The commital service was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley.
Emma Cecelia Fick, the daughter of John and Rosa Hansen Frahm, was born January 12, 1889, at Audubon, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Otto Fick at Hartley, Iowa on November 17, 1915. They made their home at Hartley and Emma worked at Leibsohn's Store from 1933 until her retirement in 1961.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, having been baptized and confirmed in 1945. She enjoyed sewing and handiwork and was an active member of the Happy Hearts Senior Citizens.
She was at Mann Wing since April of 1986 and at the We Care Haven for a year before that. She passed away at Mann Wing on June 27, 1987, at the age of 98.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Otto in 1944, one brother and three sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are one sister in law, Mae Bojens of Hartley, one nephew, Roger Bojens of Sioux City, Iowa, as well as other relatives and friends.
