Mrs. William West, the daughter of Mrs. Rose Bojans, and well known in this community, passed away at Galveston, Texas after a lingering illness.

On January 7, 1885 a daughter was born to Mr. John H. Frahm and his wife, Rose, nee Hansen at Audubon, Iowa. Soon after birth the little one was baptized into the name of the Triune God and received the name Anna Marie Catherine. Later she was confirmed into the Christian faith in the Evangelical church at Peterson, Iowa.

On New Year's day, 1905, she was united in marriage with Mr. William West of Hartley, where she had come with her parents In 1903. They moved to South Dakota where they resided for a few years, after which they moved to Des Moines. Here they lived seven years. During their stay at Des Moines they adopted a boy, whose presence added greatly to their happiness. Already at this time Mrs. West's health was not good and in 1918 they moved to Texas where it was hoped that she would find relief. While in Dallas she united with the Oak Cliff Presbyterian church of that city of which she proved herself a faithful member to the time of her death.

To the great sorrow of all those near and dear unto her the benefits of a change in climate for which they had hoped, failed to materialize and four months ago she became seriously ill. From this time forth she was confined to her bed until the end came on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Galveston, Texas. She reached the age of only 47 years and 26 days.

She is deeply mourned by her bereaved husband and her son Wilbur of Galveston; her mother, Mrs. Rose Bojens; one sister, Mrs. Otto Fick, and one brother, Harold Bojens; her brother-in-law, Otto Fick, all of Hartley; two uncles: Professor Emil Hansen of Elmhurst, Illinois and Mr. Hans Frahm of Davenport, Iowa ; two aunts, Mrs. Marie Van Bergen of Davenport and Mrs. Louise Hardt of Hamburg in Germany.

Her father and two sisters preceded her in death.

The Brotherhood quartet of Trinity church rendered two selections and by request Rev. Budy sang the favorite hymn of the deceased: "In the Garden." Interment In Pleasant View cemetery.
