Services were held Thursday, March 24, 1983 at the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home for Mark D. Richter, who died March 20 in San Antonio, Tex. Rev. Charles Kramer officiated.
Pallbearers were Leonard Richter, Elwood Koehlmoos. Leland Koehlmoos, LeRoy Mueller, Wilmont Pauling, Lloyd Heithus.
Music was two hymns sung by the congregation, "What a Friend we Have in Jesus" and "Rock of Ages." Mrs. LaNan Eldridge was organist.
Final resting place was Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina.

Mark Douglas Richter, son of Harold and Elda Richter, was born Oct. 17, 1947 in Linn County, Cedar Rapids, IA. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church at Germantown, He joined the United States Navy in December 1964 and served until 1966. He was united in marriage to Margaret (Penny) Plyman on September 21, 1977. They made their home in Sparta, N.J. Mark was employed as a cross country trucker all his life until Sept. 2 1982 when he was admitted to the Audie Murphy Hospital in San Antonio, Texas with a serious illness. He passed away on March 20. 1983.
He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Richter of Paullina, and one sister, Mrs. Lionel (Theresa) Walker of Sheldon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
