John Pfitzenmaier, 85, a resident of O'Brien county practically his entire life, died Monday at his home in Primghar. Although ill for several months, his death came suddenly and unexpectedly.

Mr. Pfitzenmaier was born in Wisconsin, January 21, 1869 and came to Iowa with his parents when he was two years old. He had lived in Primghar for the last 26 years and before then had resided in Center Township for 58 years.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Arthur D. Pfitzenmaier; one daughter, Mrs. Zola Adolph; also 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Methodist church. The pastor, Rev. Paul Clements, officiated. Hymns were sung by Donald Fritzsohe, with Miss Rebecca Metcalf as accompanist. The pallbeaTers were G. J.Jansen, H. Hollowell, Wilbur Summers, Clare Berry, H. Hilbert and Jake Heemstra. Interment
took place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
