The former Carrie Williams was born July 4, 1889 in rural Fremont County, Iowa. She was married [to Albert Dale] Sept. 22, 1904. They farmed in the Mapleton and Ute, Iowa area until they moved to Mapleton in 1971. Mr. Dale died in June 1975.

Funeral services were held Monday morning June 13 at the Gaudian Funeral Home for Mrs. Carrie Dale, 87. Mrs. Dale passed away Saturday at the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina after a long illness. Rev. A.E. Goldhorn of the Cherokee Presbyterian church officiated at the services. Pallbearers were Herman Orthmann, Harold Lange, Ray Witt, James Wester, Steve Towe and James Towe. Mrs. Dan Feltman sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer" and "The Old Rugged Cross' accompanied by Mrs. Roy Ewoldt. Burial was in [West] Prairie View Cemetery with Gaudian Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Hollister and Mrs. Mildred Freeking [sic Freerking], both of Paullina, two grandchildren and five great ­grandchildren.
