DIED: Mrs. Annie Tagge (maiden name Annie Johansen) departed this life May 10, 1903 at the age of 37, 5 months, and 11 days, born Nov. 29, 1865, in Holstein Germany, came to Scott county. Iowa, in 1866, married Feb. 24,1888 to Fred Tagge, moved to O'Brien county, Iowa in 1892. Mrs. Fred Tagge who has been an invalid for some months past departed this life Saturday night, the result of a cancer.
This is a very sad death. Deceased was a noble woman, good, faithful wife and loving mother. The funeral occurred Monday afternoon at the home in Omega township, altho the day was rainy there was a very large attendance.
Remains were laid to rest in the Hartley cemetery. Of the immediate family left to mourn, husband and four children, one girl 14 years old and three sons ranging in years 8, 10 and 12. Rev. Dexheimer of this place officiated at the last sad rites.
