Mrs. Dorothea Knicker died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Langholz, southeast of town. She had been suffering for a time with a cancer but had been sick in bed but two weeks.
Deceased was born in Germany, ___ 26, 1836, so was 76 years, 3 months old. She married in the old country and her husband died there in 1885. In 1894 Mrs. Knicker came to this country, coming direct to O'Brien county where she has lived since. Most of the time of late she has made her home with her grandson, Henry Knicker.
Mrs. Knicker leaves two sons in the old country, and two daughters, Mrs. Peter and Mrs. Hans Langholz. She was a member of the German Lutheran church at Germantown. The funeral was held on Wednesday with Rev. Potratz in charge. Burial was made at Germantown cemetery.
