JAMES PAUL GALLUP 1948—1981

James Paul Gallup, son of James and Margaret Gallup, was born in Sanborn, Iowa on June 4, 1948. He lived his youth, attended elementary school and graduated from Sanborn High School in 1967.

He was united in marriage to Kay Loafman of Sanborn. Iowa on November 23. 1966 at Sanborn. After their marriage they lived in the Sanborn area and then lived in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cataldo, Idaho.

James passed away suddenly on July 13. 1981 at Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 33 years, one month and nine days.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Gallup of Milford, Iowa, two children. James Milo and Jill Michelle of Cataldo. Idaho, one brother, Daniel of Spirit Lake. Iowa, his maternal grandmother. Eva Olson and one aunt. Bonnie Olson, both of Mitchell. S D

He was preceded in death by his father James, in 1974, his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather.

Funeral services were held at the Sanborn Funeral Home on Friday, July 17 at 10 30 a m with Rev Paul Hansen officiating Casket bearers were Greg Sanders, Greg Vogelaar. Terry Jaycox, Terry Agena, Lyle Donkersloot and Galen Beyer Honorary Bearers were Helmet Rohrs. Robert Olson and Donald Knowlton Interment was in Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn with the Sanborn Funeral Home in charge.
