William Wesley Delmage was born in Ontario, Canada, January 10, 1843 and died at Long Beach, Calif., Tuesday night, January 12, 1926. The cause of death was an attack of pneumonia. The remains were brought to Paullina where funeral services were held at the methodist church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. F.F. Robinson officiating. Interment was in Prairie View cemetery.

In his young manhood the decased was united in marriage to Eliza Ann Noble. The following year after his marriage in 1869, he and Mrs. Delmage moved to Warren, Ill., which place remained the family home until 1883, when the moved westward locating in O'Brien county. They maintained their home on a farm until about twenty years ago when the family home was moved to Paullina.

The deceased was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter and his wife, the last named passing from this life in January 1922.

He is survied by three sons, J.L. Delmage, Harry Delmage of Paullina, Roy Delmage of Sutherland and two daughters, Mrs. John C. Bass of Lethbridge, Canada and Mrs. Warner of Humboldt, Ia. Five sisters also live to mourn the death of the brother.

At the age of eighteen years, the deceased united with the Methodist church. Throughout the remainder of his life he was active in the work of his church and always striving preeminently for the advancement of the Kingdom of God in the hearts of men.
