GLEN EARL LIBBY

Glenn Earl Libby [sic], tho oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Libby and grandson of Squire Libby succumbed to an attack of lung fever at tne Sanborn House Tuesday, Feb. 3 at 6 o'clock a. m.

The deceased was born near Vinton, Iowa, July 19, 1877. While yet a child his parents moved to Nebraska and from there they came to Sanborn for a brief time and then went from here to Jackson, Mich., where the deceased was an office boy in the Hibbert house. The family removed to Sanborn about two years ago and the son followed about a year ago. Part of the time since he has been the clerk at the "Clark House." During his stay in Sanborn he has made a great many friends. He had had a cold and while attending the Leap Year Party a week ago he was so exposed that he contracted more cold, which developed into lung fever which after nearly a week's severe suffering caused his death.

His burial took place from the residence of his grandfather, Squire Libby. The service was conducted by Rev. Chas Williams of the Presbyterian church, and consolation was sung to the bereaved by Messrs Mayne and Waldsmith and Mesdames Foot and Algyer. Six young men and intimate friends, Messrs Sullivan, Graffleman, Helmer, VanAlstine, Biggs and Day acted as pall bearers. The funeral was largely attended by the young friends of the deceased as well as by the older friends of the family.

The sympath of the community is heartily extended to the bereaved family.
