Services Held for Forrest West

Forrest E. West, 77, of Paullina, passed away Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Baum Harmon Hospital in Primghar. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 10:30 at the Presbyterian Church of Paullina with the Rev. Carl Soderberg officiating. Pall bearers were Philip Simm, Willard Lubbers, Robert Eagel, Alvin Keyser, Gus Appeldorn and Russel Dornbusch. Otis Grosvenor sang two hymns accompanied by Mrs. Grosvenor.

Mr. West was born Sept 14, 1902 at Paullina and he attended rural schools. He farmed with his parents and later farmed for himself until 1948 when he retired and moved to Paullina. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Forrest made his home with his sister Edith until she passed away a few years ago.

He is survived by nieces and nephews in the area.

Preceding him in death were his 8 brothers and sisters.

Burial was in the [West] Prairie View cemetery with arrangements under the care of the Gaudian Eldridge Funeral Home.
