Services for Edith West

Funeral services for Miss Florence Edith West, 90, were held Wednesday morning, January 5, at the Presbyterian church. Miss West passed away Sunday, Jan 2 at the Baum Harmon hospital in Primghar. Rev Robert Hickman officiated at the services. Pallbeareres were Rodney Rausch, Phillip Peterson, Philip Sim, Willard Lubbers, Fritz Kamrath and Walter Grimberg. Jack Grosvenor sang two hymns accompanied by Mrs. Grosvenor.

Florence Edith West was born December 1, 1886 in Paullina, the daughter of Obadiah West and Emma Wendt West. She was one in a family of 9 children. Miss West attended rural schools here and for the past 20 years has made her home with her brother, Forrest.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Paullina.

Survivors include her brother, Forrest and nieces and nephews. Burial was at the Prairie View Cemetery near Paullina with the Gaudian Funeral Home in charge.
