LLOYD IDSO SERVICES HELD
Services in memory of Lloyd Idso were held Monday afternoon, April 18 at the Hartley United Methodist Church. The casket bearers were Orville Tewes, Bill Bruggom, Kenneth Bixenman, Marvin Johnson, Clayton Pyle and Boyd McQueen. The committal service was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Primghar. Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Lloyd Allen Idso, the son of Thomas and Lena Idso, was born February 23, 1902 in O'Brien County, Iowa. He was educated in rural schools near his childhood home.
He was united in marriage at Primghar, Iowa on September 15, 1940 to Dorothy Fern Waller. They farmed in O'Brien County and he worked at the Elevator in Plessis for a number of years until moving into Hartley in 1970. His health had been failing for some time, but he was still able to enjoy his favorite pastime of playing cards with his many friends.
He passed away suddenly at his home on the evening of April 14, 1977 at the age of 75.
Preceding him in death were his parents, one sister, one brother, and two children, Carol Ann and Jerry Keith.Left to cherish his memory are his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Bonnie Idso of Milford; a son Robert of Mankato, Minnesota and a daughter Peggy Idso of Denver, Colorado; one granddaughter, Jeri Idso of Milford; two brothers, Truman of Paullina and Ted of Archer, as well as other relatives and friends.
