RECEIVES WORD OF SON'S DEATH Sunday morning

Mrs. Rose Eckhart of Hartley received word of the death of her son, Myron Eckhart, 57, of Joplin, Mo., who was killed instantly in a one car accident in Oklahoma around 10:30 o'clock Saturday night. Mr. Eckhart was alone in the car, it was reported, when it missed a curve went into a ditch and upset. He had been visiting his oldest son in Tulsa, and returning from a fishing trip.

Myron was born April 1, 1920, to Frank and Rose Eckhart at Hartley, Iowa. He was a graduate of the Hartley High School. He was a resident of Joplin for the past 30 years, being with the, LoAgbell Lumber Co., also for 30 years.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at Joplin, Mo, with burial also at Joplin.

He is survived by his wife, Jane of Joplin; two sons, Cary of Tulsa, Okla. and David of Joplin; mother, Rose Eckhart of Hartley; two grandchildren, three brothers, Edwin of Lapuante, Calif., Lyle of Lancaster, Calif., and Rufus of Spencer; and one sister, Mrs. Corrine King of Lakefield, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father.
