OBITUARY MRS. HELEN BUNT

Mrs. Thomas Bunt, nee Helen Caroline Stowell, the daughter of Frank and Louise Frazer Stowell, was born Aug. 29, 1886 at Hancock, Iowa. She attended the LeMars High School, and was graduated there in 1905. She taught school three years.

Her marriage to Thomas R. Bunt took place at LeMars on Feb. 16, 1910. They lived at Bonesteel, So. Dakota for a year, and also had resided at Storm Lake, Ida Grove and Cherokee, Iowa, before coming to Hartley in 1929. They farmed here for many years, until moving to Cherokee in 1954.

After the death of her husband, Mrs. Bunt returned to Hartley in 1959, and had since made her home here. While at Ida Grove she became a member of the Pres­byterian church and of Chapter 337 of the Order of Eastern Star there.

She entered into eternal life on Jan. 6, 1966 after being hospitalized for five weeks. She had reached the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 7 days.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, and one brother, George.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Naomi (Mrs. Gerald R. Epping) of Sanborn, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, three sisters: Mrs. Guy Redmon of Spencer, Mrs. Ben Kehrburg of Le Mars, and Mrs. John Ogilvy of Cherokee, Ia., as well as other relatives, and her many friends.

Services were held from the. Baumgarten Funeral Home Sunday, January 9 at 2 p. m. Rev. D. D. Samuelson officiated. Pallbearers were Alvin Schierholz, Russell Runkle, Lester DeBoer, Wm. Guhl, Richard Groen and Earl Clay.

Interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery in Hartley
